Nahual’s medium tenangos are hand embroidered by the Otomí in their traditional style and in many colors, both single and multicolor. Each unique piece features cotton embroidery on 100% unbleached cotton fabric. Approximately 28 by 36 inches, they look charming as either tablecloths or on the wall (framed or unframed), or when featured on beds or dressers.
Colors represented in these photographs may vary slightly to those of the actual embroidery. If you don’t see a design you’d like to purchase, please email Pauline at brooklynotomi@gmail.com. We may have something similar in stock but haven’t photographed it yet, or we may be just about to place an order in which we can put in a request.
Care for your tenango by hand-washing in cold water with a mild detergent. Line dry and iron at a medium temperature. Washing in hot water or using a dryer may damage the embroidery.
